Preparation for Licensure
After completing the ATI comprehensive proctored exam, I finished with a 70% and with an 88% probability of passing the NCLEX examination. Overall, I am really happy with my results. I feel that I’ve met my own personal benchmarks after taking this exam. While I am happy with my results, I feel that I could have done better if I took more time. Before this exam, I had just finished taking an ATI proctored exam in my leadership course at UNE. I was last to finish so I had about 20 minutes between that exam and this one. I feel that I did not take enough time that I could have during this exam, and I feel that I had rushed myself to complete it. Although I rushed, I am happy with my results. When it comes to taking the NCLEX examination in the future, I plan on taking as much time as I need along with using the break that is allowed. The remediation of this exam helped me build upon the foundational knowledge that I may have forgotten and needed to brush upon. After remediating, I found that I probably could have done better if I took more time because a few of the remediation topics were things that I understood. The ATI exams that we have been taking in this transitions course have helped me improve my test taking skills and I feel that it will benefit me in taking the NCLEX examination. In addition to the break I plan on taking during the exam, I’m going to make use of eliminating distractor questions, highlighting key points of the question, spending at least a minute and more on each question, and all the other test taking skills that I’ve learned and built upon.
