Preparation for Licensure

Preparation for Licensure

After completing and remediating the ATI adaptive pediatrics practice exam, I was able to identify the areas that I need to improve upon. The pediatrics course that I am currently enrolled in at UNE has been going well so far and I feel that I have been learning so much. This practice exam has showed me areas that I have a content deficit in and need to relook over. For example, while remediating I noticed that I did not understand what rice cereal was and how it helps thicken formula to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux in infants. I got three questions related to the use of rice cereal and I got all of them wrong. This tells me that I should reassess different formulas and treatments for nutritional deficits with interventions such as rice cereal. I plan on revisiting the other areas that I identified as content deficits during my remediation as well to help me fill in the gaps. Lastly, I think that this exam went well. I finished with 90 question in total. I feel that taking this practice has helped me prepare for the ATI proctored pediatrics assessment in my pediatrics course.
