Preparation for Licensure

Personally, I feel that I did really well on the ATI Pharmacology Proctored Exam in my transitions course. While I got a total score of 70.0%, I feel that compared to the program and national mean this is okay. The program mean was 66.9% and the national mean was 66.7% so my total score is just above these averages. During this test, I made use of the test taking skills that I’ve been working on this entire transitions course. I took time on each question, at least a minute each to really understand what it was asking. I also took deep breaths and closed my eyes when I felt my concentration steer away from the exam. These skills helped me ensure that I was in the best position to answer test questions. I also made use of narrowing down my answers and eliminating distractor questions so I could narrow down my answer choice to at least two options. I had 8 topic areas to improve upon during my remediation. When completing these remediations, I noticed that a lot of the topics was information that I’ve already learned but just needed a refresher on. Some of the information I have not had to apply for a while, so these remediations have allowed me to revisit them. This is perfect as I am preparing for the NCLEX examination.
