After completing the maternal newborn adaptive ATI practice exam and remediation, I personally feel that I did alright but could have done better. I ended up finished this exam with 154 questions in total with an average answer time of 0:50 seconds. This is one of my fastest answer response times for these exams. After remediating and reflecting on my responses, it was clear to me that I should have taken more time. There were questions that I answered incorrectly and realized I knew the answer after remediating. I think what lead to my fast response time going through this exam was that I had just taken the ATI maternal newborn proctored exam last Friday, and two days before I had had an exam in maternity as well. My mindset was that the information is fresh in my head, I’m going to do well. However, not taking the time to really read the questions affected my performance. Overall, I think that this was an eye opener for me. When I say this, I mean that by taking the amount of time I usually take really helps me and yields better outcomes.
