Prepare for Transition!

Prepare for Transition!

Graduation is just around the corner and while I am nervous, I am very much excited to get my licensure and become a registered nurse. I think what I am most excited for is to see where I end up. Before nursing school, I was unaware of how vast nursing is. There are SO many different fields of nursing that you can chose from I don’t even know where to start. I have found my own interest in cardiac and telemetry, however I’ll see where life takes me. To celebrate my completion of nursing school I am hoping to have a small dinner with my parents at my apartment. Pre-COVID my family would usually celebrate with a graduation party, however, I do not think that it will be happening this time around with COVID. And lastly, I am really anxious about finishing nursing school! These past four years have flown by here at UNE and I am ready to graduate!

To stay on tract and maintain focused, I have increased my organization and planning to help me manage the time that I have available to study. I have made use of an electronic calendar to plan my days. Currently, my main goal includes completing practice NCLEX questions, at least 20 questions, by the end of every night till finals week. This will help me to identify any of my weak areas that I could improve upon. It will also help me increase my success in passing the NCLEX exam. After going through the ATI Nurse Logic modules and questions, I personally feel very happy to see my own improvement from when I took it last. It feels great to know that I have improved in my own clinical judgement and reasoning. The modules also helped me refresh on various frameworks and the set up and answering of NCLEX style questions. I am really happy that we make use of ATI in this course, and I feel that doing these modules and practice exams will help improve my own self knowledge and success.
